What is WCDT2026?
WCDT2026 is the 23rd World Congress on Dental Traumatology, the leading global scientific and educational event on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of traumatic dental injuries. It is organized by the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) and the Polish Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (PASD).
When and where does WCDT2026 take place?
The congress takes place September 3–5, 2026, at the Hilton Warsaw City Hotel, Grzybowska 63, 00-844 Warsaw, Poland.
Who should attend?
The congress is designed for pediatric dentists, endodontists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, general dentists, and researchers working with traumatic dental injuries and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
How much does registration cost?
Regular registration fees (May 5 – September 2, 2026) are: 800 EUR for IADT/PASD members, 1025 EUR for non-member dentists, 375 EUR for postgraduate/PhD students, and 250 EUR for undergraduate students. On-site rates (September 3–4) are higher. Full pricing is available on the Registration page.
Does registration include CME/CPD credits?
An application for CME credits has been submitted to EACCME and is currently under consideration.
What is included in the registration fee?
Access to all congress sessions, the exhibition, conference program and kit, electronic proceedings, coffee breaks, lunches, the welcome reception, and a complimentary 3-day public transport ticket. The gala dinner is not included and can be purchased separately.
Is there a pre-congress workshop program?
Yes. Pre-congress hands-on workshops are available for an additional fee of 150 EUR per workshop, open to all registration categories. Details are on the Workshops and Hands-on Courses page.
Do I need to be an IADT or PASD member to attend?
No. Non-members are welcome and can register at the non-member rate. Dentists interested in IADT membership can join before registering to access member pricing.
Can I present research at WCDT2026?
Yes, oral and poster presentations are accepted through the abstract submission process. Presenters must also complete congress registration.
How do I get to Warsaw, and is there a travel discount?
Warsaw is centrally located in Europe with direct international flight connections. Congress participants and their travel companions receive an 8% discount on all LOT Polish Airlines fare classes using promo code WCDT26, valid for travel August 31 – September 8, 2026.
How much does registration cost?

Do I need to be an IADT or PASD member to register at the member rate?
Yes, member rates apply only to current IADT or PASD members; membership status is verified. Dentists who are not yet members can join IADT before registering to access member pricing.
How do I pay, and can I get an invoice in PLN?
Payment is accepted by bank transfer or credit card (Mastercard/Visa) through the registration system. Participants based in Poland can select PLN as the invoice currency during registration. All fees include 23% VAT.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellations before May 1, 2026 receive a full refund minus a 30 EUR administration fee. Cancellations between May 2 and August 1, 2026 receive a 50% refund. Cancellations from August 2, 2026 onward are non-refundable.
Do students need to provide proof of enrollment?
Yes. Postgraduate/PhD and Undergraduate students must upload proof of current enrollment at a university or other tertiary institution during registration. Student places are limited and subject to availability.
When is my registration considered confirmed?
Registration is confirmed only once full payment is received; the payment date is treated as the official registration date. An email confirmation with a Registration ID is sent upon submission.
Where should I stay for WCDT2026?
The congress venue, Hilton Warsaw City Hotel, offers a discounted room block for participants. Three additional partner hotels are available within a 5–7 minute walk: Royal Tulip Warsaw Centre, Moxy Warsaw City, and ibis Styles Warszawa City.
Is there a discount for congress participants?

When do the pre-congress workshops take place?
Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Hilton Warsaw City Hotel. Morning session: 10:30–13:00. Afternoon session: 14:00–16:30.
How much do the workshops cost?
150 EUR per workshop, for all registration categories (IADT/PASD Member, Non-Member Dentist, Undergraduate/Postgraduate Student).
Are workshop places limited?
Yes. Places are limited and subject to availability; some workshops may already be fully booked as the congress date approaches.
What topics are covered?
Ten workshops covering regeneration and vital pulp treatment, custom mouthguard fabrication, splinting materials and techniques, autotransplantation, endodontic management of immature necrotic teeth, emergency management and hands-on treatment, intentional replantation, psychosocial approaches to pediatric trauma, direct composite restorations, and CBCT interpretation in dental trauma.
Can I attend a workshop without attending the full congress?
No. Workshop registration is an add-on for congress participants and requires completing congress registration.
Do I need a visa to attend WCDT2026 in Poland?
Yes, if you are traveling from a country outside the Schengen Area or from a country that does not have a visa-free travel agreement with Poland, you will need a valid visa to enter Poland and attend WCDT2026. Citizens of countries that benefit from Poland’s visa-free regime may enter without a visa for short stays, subject to the applicable entry conditions.
